The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) Meeting Minutes Thursday, December 19, 2013, 7:00pm.

The TIBF December monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00p.m. December 19, 2013, at J&H Sales and Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were: Davanh Sengsourhino/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snake River Bassmasters; Lionel Garza-Idaho Bassmasters, Steve Spear-Idaho Bassmasters and by teleconference, Chad Kaiser-Panhandle Bass Anglers.



Secretary-Treasurer Report -Tammy Shuyler

    -November meeting minutes approved.

    -Treasurer Report

    -2014 dues reminder to be sent out by Tammy

    -Tammy reported 277 members for 2013


Youth Report-Brian Ashton(absent) -Davanh Sengsourhino reported.

    -Youth Championship date changed to August 10, 2014.

    -High School Championship date changed to June 29, 2014. It will be held simultaneously along with the Military Appreciation tournament.


Conservation Report -Position vacant. (interested Member sought to fill position) Davanh reported.

    -Tammy Shuyler will not be able to fill position since she will continue as Secretary/Treasurer in 2014.

Communication Report -Steve Day

    -The 2014 Major Event Schedule has been posted. Steve still needs East and North 2014 Qualifier dates so he can post to major event schedule.

    -Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100.

    -Members can go to TIBF website http://www.idahobassfed.com for all updates and information.

    -TIBF members have free ad space available on website.


Tournament Report -Davanh Sengsourhino

    -Reported date changes for Youth (August 10, 2014), High School and Military Appreciation tournaments to be held simultaneously (June 29, 2014)

    -TBF NW Divisionals scheduled for Flaming Gorge, WY, May 18-23, 2014.

    -Due to Anglers Choice championship date conflict in September, the South Qualifier dates will be changed to August 23 & 24, 2014, and to be held on Milner Reservoir. The East Qualifier will be held simultaneously with South tournament.


Old Business:

    -2014 TIBF/TBF/FLW Dues-TIBF member clubs are responsible for collection from individual members. Once collected, club secretary-treasurer will sign online at www.tbfwebservices.com/app.php to create an invoice.     -Motor Bands-Tammy and Steve Day continue to work on project. The motor bands will be sold for $20/ea. For quantities up to 25. For orders 26-49, $19/ea. And 50+ $18/ea. If this project is economically viable as a profit source for TIBF, it will become a permanent project. Steve Day ordered the material and should be shipped and delivered to his home address by mid-January (this is a change from mid-December). Tammy advised that a deposit of $792.00 was paid to the Foamorder October 18. The seamstress is on stand-by to cut and sew the bands. Screen printing has also been arranged when ready for printing. We currently have orders for up to 290 motorbands.

    -2014 Banquet planning. Date is February 22, 2014. Banquet tickets are now available for sale at $35/each. Tickets will be mailed out to clubs who did not pick them up at the December meeting. Note this is a $10 price reduction from the past per ticket. Location is the Center at the Park (Meridian Senior Citizens Center corner of Eagle/Fairview Roads behind Big Als) 1920 Records Way, Meridian, ID 83646. It has 3 flatscreen TV’s with laptop, microphone and excellent kitchen amenities including ice machine. Capacity is 205 with available tables set up for 175. Sponsors are currently being researched and any members wishing to participate as sponsor/donor are asked to contact Davanh. A local motel will be identified and rate negotiated for attendees. There are several in the area and one will be sought that has a shuttle available. Three Catering bids are under consideration and decision will be made first week of January. Davanh announced that TIBF is receiving a 999 Humminbird Retail value $1500 and MinnKota Talon Power Pole as major raffle/auction items. Dry Creek Outfitters is providing an AR15 Retail value $700 and two more guns will be provided by King Fisher. Tammy is working on the banquet poster which will include our guest speaker Jimmy Reese and current National and State Sponsors.

    -2014 Officer Elections-President-Davanh, Vice-President-Scyler Hill, Secretary-Treasurer-Tammy Shuyler. Each position ran unopposed.


New Business:

    -ISCAC report-Steve Day reports ongoing discussion at F&G to increase and change the license and tag fees. Theresa Hart is gone from F&G and a new contact is in place. The White Cloud Monument designation is pending decision. ISCAC meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month during Legislative session period.
