December Meeting Minutes

The TIBF monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00pm. , December 30, 2015, at JH Marine and Sales, Nampa, Idaho.  Those in attendance were:  Davanh Sengsourinho/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snake River Bassmasters; James Brandt-Mountain Home Hawg Hunters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters


Secretary-Treasurer Report-Tammy Shuyler
    • Minutes.
    • Treasurer Report
    • 2016 TIBF Membership Renewals trickling in now.
    • $125 check from 2015 Snowbowl Tournament will be donated to the Youth account.

Youth Report-Brian Ashton not present
     • State Youth 2016 Championships-Location will be Lake Lowell July 9 for TIBF and July 10 for IBFN.
    • 2016 High School Tournament-Location CJ Strike June 26

Conservation Report-Jason Fuller not present
    • The structure plant on CJ Strike was a success.

Communication Report-Steve Day
    • Steve advises that ISCAC is now called Idaho Sportsman Alliance. He has an invoice for the 2016 dues renewal of $300 which he will submit to Tammy for payment.
    • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100. Steve will be sending out his annual invoices for his services.
    • Members can go to TIBF website http://www.idahobassfed.com for all updates and information.
    • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourhino
    • 2016 Divisionals-Location is the Cascade Locks-Hood River May 8-13.
    • South and East will be fishing together for 2016 Qualifiers.
    • South Qualifier dates are set.
    • New format-Idaho will be paired with Montana for 2016.

Old Business:
    • 2016 Banquet planning-Location will be Meridian Senior Citizen Center on February 20, 2016. The catering will be provided by The Curb and Smoky Davis. Guest Speaker is John Murray, Ranger Pro- Elite Series. Davanh will reserve a block of motel rooms.

New Business:
    • Lake Lowell Carp Removal 2017-An planning effort is ongoing for future removal of Lake Lowell carp population. It is planned for 2017. Steve Ruhl, Canyon County Commissioner contacted Davanh seeking TIBF support and assistance in the effort. Davanh will continue future coordination of the planning.
    • Officer Nominations-Nominations are being sought from all member clubs for officer positions President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer. Nominations need to be presented at January, 2016, meeting.
    • 2016 Sportsman Show-Due to the ongoing struggle to man the booth, Board is seeking input whether or not to continue participation at the show. Davanh will contact IBFN to determine if they may be interested in consolidating efforts to man one single booth.
    • Next meeting is at J/H Sales in Nampa on Thursday January 21.
