Idaho State B.A.S.S Federation

December Meeting

12/18/2003

President J.C Worthen called the regular membership of the Idaho State B.A.S.S Federation to order at 7:35 P.M. at the Tri State marine.

The minutes of November 2003 were approved as written.

Treasury Report:  Treasurer unable to attend for health reasons.  No change form Dec.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

YOUTH:

We also talked about the Get Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs program at Karcher Mall and the Casting Kids Qualifiers and Finals there.

Idaho still needs to get more youth chapters set up.  There will be a Western Divisional Tournament for youths on Milner Reservoir this April.  The winners from there will go to the Youth World Championship, held 2 weeks before the Classic.  The kids at the Championship will go out in boats with pro anglers scheduled to fish the Classic

Open House at Tri State Marine on Jan. 10; Larry Nixon and Bob Adkins will present seminars.  Two Casting Kids Qualifiers will be given; one at 9:00 a.m. and one at 3:00 p.m. SRB will do the 3:00 p.m. Qualifier

CONSERVATION:

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR:  Nothing to report

COMMUNICATION:

News letters will go out this month

OLD BUSINESS:  Federation banquet date will be on January 24,2004 at the Caldwell Elks.  Chris Horton (National Conservation Manager) will be here from B.A.S.S as a guest speaker.

Scheduling meeting went well, no complaints at this point.

Scyler Hill is repairing the release boat trailer.  He is putting new fenders on it, moving the axles forward to deal with the weight of the tanks, re-welding the trailer cross members, etc.  He has spent $400 on it already.  He wants to put new tires on it and wants $225 to buy them.  A motion was passed to give him the money.  He refused an offer to reimburse him the $400 that he has already spent.

NEW BUSINESS:

Judge Vehlow wants to know how many clubs would support a fishing outing for juveniles on probation.  He has had luck in the past with programs like this helping turn kids in trouble lives around.  Possibly looking at Sept. 19 for an outing.

There being no more new business, President Worthen reminded all that the next meeting would be December 18, 2003 at Tri State Marine.  The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
