January 16, 2003 MEETING MINUTES
The regular membership of the Idaho State B.A.S.S.
Federation was called to order by President J.C. Worthen at 7:30 P.M. at the
Tri State Marine. There were 14 officers, representatives and guests
present.
The minutes of
December 2002 were approved as written.
TREASURY
REPORT: The
Treasurer reported a balance of $11,474.16 of which $2811.44 is Conservation;
$1,080.52 in the South Operating fund, $230.64 Youth; $5952.43 South State Team
and $1,000.27 in General Funds. Treasury report was approved.

COMMITTEE
REPORTS:
YOUTH::
¨
The
annual Get Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs program is scheduled for Feb. 1
& 2 at Karcher Mall. Larry Raganit
said that he needs volunteers to make this program work. Please contact Larry with names and numbers
of volunteers. BBB is planning to do a Casting Kids qualifier there.

Casting
Kids State Final will be held at the Tri State Marine open house Feb. 22 at
2:00 p.m.. IBM and Snake River clubs
will try to hold qualifiers prior depending on scheduling. The clubs need to contact their champions. Denny will advertise with the open house.
CONSERVATION: Conservation Officer STEVE
BURK
Over 100 Christmas trees
have been gathered and stored at IDF&G regional office in Nampa. We will be placing them in Indian Creek
reservoir. Carl Dice has offered to
donate concrete blocks for anchors.
Steve would still like some plastic buckets to fill with concrete. He will be setting a date soon for this
project. It was suggested that a sign
be purchased outlining the Federation’s involvment with this project.
There is no new news on the
lead legislation.
Steve needs the contact
information for all of the clubs conservation directors.

have not received the North schedule yet.

Day needs everyone to get newsletter materials to him by Feb. 1
OLD BUSINESS:

The
banquet is set for Jan. 18 at the Caldwell Elks Lodge. Dusty has lined up a band for dancing. He has invited Jeff Dillon from
IDF&G. There are raffle prizes
including rods, reels, tackle,etc. The
Motorguide trolling motor will be auctioned off. George Roth will build a rod at cost for the Federation to
raffle. Magic Valley Bassmasters
purchased the rod.

The
April 17 board meeting will be held in Twin Falls. Location TBA.

wishing information on the Lowrance program can contact Dusty or JC.
NEW BUSINESS:
Triton
Boats has a reward program for Federation members qualifying from a Triton.
The Treasure Valley Boat
Show needs presenters for Seminars.
Anyone interested can call James Raitter .
Oregon Fish & Wildlife
rules now require that dead fish must me given to someone not participating or
connected to the tournament.
Canyon County Waterways will
be conducting boat inspections at Lake Lowell – Nampa ramp on March 8 from
10:00a.m. – 2:00p.m.
Dusty has turned the
Federation rep duties for the Payette River club to George Roth so that he can
concentrate on fishing the Nationals and get to the classic.
There being no more new business, President Worthen
reminded all that the next meeting would be on February 20, 2003. The meeting adjourned at 8:30p.m.
