January 20, 2005

President Gary Keith called the regular membership of the Idaho State B.A.S.S federation to order at 7:45 P.M. at Tri State Marine.  The minutes from the December 16, 2004 were read and passed.

Report from the treasure was read and motion made to accept and passed.

YOUTH REPORT:       SCYLER:  And Larry Raganit mentioned that Casting Kids Event was coming up.  The Idaho B.A.S.S. Federation clubs will be doing Casting Kids qualifiers at Karcher Mall Get Hooked On Fishing Not On Drugs and also at the Sportsman’s show in Boise Idaho in March. The state champions will be selected at the Boise Show.  Need to get your club registered for events.

Starting times will be Saturday 10:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. and Sunday noon to 5:00 P.M.   A live radio broadcast from KIZN 92.3 FM will be there. D.A.R.E. will be at Karcher Mall and we hope to be doing a finger print clinic for the kids.  Idaho Fish and Game, Idaho Parks and Rec., Friends of Brownlee will be there also.   Steve Day has organized a beanbag toss for the kids.  The money raised will go to Youth programs here in the state.  Need new plastic fishing lures (no hooks), worms, tubes, crappie jigs and other fishing tackle.  If you have some plastic lures that you have no need for in your boat or garage, we could use them, please bring them to Karcher Mall.  You can also box them up and send them to:  Larry Raganit  - 2020 Alder St.—Caldwell, Idaho 83605.  In eastern Idaho contact Scyler Hill at 208 324-1346. We need all we can get.  Will be using them at the Boise Sportsman’s Show in March 3-6, 2005.  So look in your garage or tackle boxes, all donations appreciated.

Also some questions on how much money it is needed toward the youth to make it possible so they could attend their National functions if a basic budget could be figured at beginning of January then when the time to send the winners it would be easier for all involved.

Youth programs are getting better every year.

CONSERVATION REPORT:        Again it was mentioned the structure planting went very well with all involved.    More structure planting will be done when weather gets better.

COMMUNICATION REPORT:    A brief new letter went to all of the members in early January the feedback was positive:  Dusty brought a name of a person from the Payette area that would like to do the newsletter.  Gary will pursue this and see what needs to be done by next meeting.

TOURNAMENT REPORT:  Bruce said that the team would have their first set of shirts at the banquet.  Clubs have been getting their permits and everything was looking good.

Old Business:       Alliance package questions were discussed Bruce and Gary were goings to follow up on the various supports that the state receives.

Banquet was ready few things are needed.

2006 Divisionals

New Business:     Judge will be attending the banquet with a video of Scales for Justice tournament.  Hoping that a big screen is available, several names were mentioned that might have access to one other wise Larry R. would bring his for our use.

J. C.  mentioned that Don C. will not be attending the banquet after all because of some unforeseen events.  Don said he was sorry and that he would have liked able to attend.

Gary stated that the members of the state team were to bring him 25 word biography of themselves so he could read them at the banquet as of this time no one has so he would just have to make some up.

Bruce and J. C. have lots of raffle items ready for the banquet.  Hoping that we have a great turn out.

2006 Divisionals:  Dusty said nothing to new to report at this time.  He was sure more would come as time approaches…
