March 20, 2003 MEETING MINUTES
The regular membership of the Idaho State B.A.S.S. Federation was called to order by President J.C. Worthen at 7:30 P.M. at the Tri State Marine. There were 12 officers, representatives and guests present.
The minutes of February 2002 were approved as written.
TREASURY REPORT: The Treasurer reported a balance of $11,503.74 of which $2780.82 is Conservation; 927.47 in the South Operating fund, ($1605.36)Youth; $5,527.43 South State Team and $3,472.23 in General Funds. Treasury report was approved.
INTRODUCTIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:
YOUTH: Skyler Hill
Casting Kids State Finals was held Feb. 22 at TriState Open House
Winners were David Schmidt form North Idaho and Ethan Compton from Magic Valley
Skyler and JC are planning club visits to promote Youth chapters
Magic Valley Bassmasters will be holding a Casting Kids competition 4/26-27
CONSERVATION: Conservation Officer STEVE BURK
The xmas tree plant held March 8 was successful with rep.s from Snake River Bassmasters and Idaho Bassmasters participating. The project received good media coverage.
Washington State Federation has a large ongoing project. Steve would like some ideas to perhaps model after theirs. Any ideas? Planting willow cuttings near lake shores was suggested.
Permits have been applied for to plant trees in Cascade reservoir. We are waiting for further info.
We still have some signs available for distribution.

A benefit tournament was held for Dave Withers that raised $1,400.00. Six clubs were represented.
The release boat will be used at the IBM Open, BBB Open, and the Mtn. Home Open
There being no more new business, President Worthen reminded all that the next meeting would be on April 17, 2003 in Twin Falls. The meeting adjourned at 8:30p.m.
