Idaho State B.A.S.S Federation

November Meeting



President J.C Worthen called the regular membership of the Idaho State B.A.S.S Federation to order at 7:45 P.M. at the Tri State marine.  There were 9 officers, representatives and guests present. 


The minutes of October 2003 were approved as written.


Treasury Report:  The treasury report was approved.  Treasure did mention that A check to Neil Russell be made as soon as possible.  Approved





Scyler Hill reported that youth nationals would be the first of May.  It was also decided that in the 14-18 youth group that if a participant turns 19 at the time of the nationals that they would still be eligible.  (Age groups 11-14 & 14-18) 


Casting for kids for our 2 regions are going well.



Mike Lembke reported Xmas tree planting seems not as great for conservation as once believed.  If possible start using the ideas that Fish and Game in Pennsylvania has the most support in the US and so we are looking into the materials that they have sent to Mike.  Anyone interested can contact Mike for more information.




Bruce Fletcher will be the new south tournament director.


Alan will get the contracts out to the new state team members.  Turn around time will be December 15. 

J. C. also announced the 2004 State Team.



Steve Day has asked for information from the various clubs to be submitted as soon as possible for the next newsletter.  He also reported that the Web site was going well several of the clubs have contacted him and are now set up on the web page. 


OLD BUSINESS:  Federation banquet date will be on January 24,2004 at the Caldwell Elks.  Chris Horton (National Conservation Manager) will be here from B.A.S.S as a guest speaker.

Scheduling meeting went well, no complaints at this point.



Judge Billow needs a tournament for some of paroles in this area to have a chance for them to fish.  Positive move for the people involved.  He will come and address this in December meeting.


J.C. asked Gary to make arrangements for the plaques for the state team 2004. 


Nominations and voting of the new federation officers for 2004 was conducted they are as follows: President:  J. C. Worthen, Vice President:  Gary Keith, Sec/Tres:  Karen Keith.


There being no more new business, President Worthen reminded all that the next meeting would be December 18, 2003 at Tri State Marine.  The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
