The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) Meeting Minutes Thursday, January 16, 2013, 7:00pm.

The TIBF January monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00p.m. January 16, 2014, at J&H Sales and Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were: Davanh Sengsourinho/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snake River Bassmasters; Bill Kriner-Snake River Bassmasters; Lionel Garza-Idaho Bassmasters, teleconference, Shane and Loren Torok-Idaho Panhandle Anglers and Brian Ashton-Youth Director.



Secretary-Treasurer Report-Tammy Shuyler
    • December meeting minutes approved.
    • Treasurer Report
    • Paid invoices: Steve Day-TIBF Banquet Tickets $33.00; ISCAC 2014 Member Renewal $300
    • The motorband material paid in full. Steve Day advised it appears that we were charged shipping in error. He will contact the manufacturer and seek a credit refund of the shipping charges.

Youth Report-Brian Ashton
    • The new Youth Age Group 11-14yo. will be finalized at the Presidents Meeting in April, 2014.
    • Youth Championship set for August 10, 2014, on Cascade Reservoir.
    • High School Championship is set for June 29, 2014, at CJ Strike Reservoir.

Conservation Report-Position vacant. (interested Member sought to fill position) Davanh reported.
    • The Sportsman Show is set for February 30-March 2, 2014. TIBF will host a Kids Casting Booth as in past years. Wednesday booth will be set up and volunteers are welcome. The booth will be manned as follows: Thursday-No Casting Booth; Friday night-Snake River BM 5-9pm.; Saturday-Idaho Bassmasters (3 sections-3 hrs each) 11-9pm; Sunday-TIBF State Team. All volunteers will have free access to the show. TIBF is seeking donations such as hats or T-shirts which will be used as targets in the casting pool. TIBF will also host a Seminar Saturday evening. Spectra is not charging TIBF to host the fishing booth. Spectra will also once again donate $500 to TIBF for Youth and Conservation.
    • Steve Day continues to represent TIBF at the monthly ISCAC meetings. Go to www.idahoscac.org for position papers and regular updates. Of note, the first position paper for 2014 is regarding the IDF&G Proposed Fee Changes.

Communication Report-Steve Day
    • Steve still needs East and North 2014 Qualifier dates so he can post to major event schedule.
    • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100. Steve will be sending out his annual invoices for his services.
    • Members can go to TIBF website http://www.idahobassfed.com for all updates and information.
    • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourinho
    • TBF Nationals are scheduled for April 8-12, 2014, Grand Lakes, Oklahoma. Chad Kaiser/Boater and Boyd Golightly/Non-Boater will be representing Idaho.
    • TBF NW Divisionals scheduled for Flaming Gorge, WY, May 18-23, 2014.
    • The South and East Qualifiers for August 23-24, 2014, have a location change due to a scheduling conflict. Walcott Reservoir will be August 23 and Milner Reservoir will be August 24. Scyler and Davanh plan to have a BBQ for fisherman night of August 23.

Old Business:
    • 2014 TIBF/TBF/FLW Dues-TIBF member clubs are responsible for collection from individual members. Once collected, club secretary-treasurer will sign online at www.tbfwebservices.com/app.php to create an invoice. For questions, please contact Tammy at 208-484-9278 or e-mail Tammy
    • Motor Bands-Tammy and Steve Day continue to work on project. The motor bands will be sold for $20/ea. For quantities up to 25. For orders 26-49, $19/ea. And 50+ $18/ea. If this project is economically viable as a profit source for TIBF, it will become a permanent project. The seamstress now has the material and will begin construction of the bands. We have enough material to build 300 motorbands. It was also determined it would be reasonable to construct 55” and 60” bands to accommodate the larger motors.
    • 2014 Banquet planning-Date is February 22, 2014. Banquet tickets are now available for sale at $35/each. Tickets will be mailed out to clubs who did not pick them up at the December meeting. Note this is a $10 price reduction from the past per ticket. Location is the Center at the Park (Meridian Senior Citizens Center corner of Eagle/Fairview Roads behind Big Als) 1920 Records Way, Meridian, ID 83646. It has 3 flatscreen TV’s with laptop, microphone and excellent kitchen amenities including ice machine. Capacity is 205 with available tables set up for 175. Sponsors are currently being researched and any members wishing to participate as sponsor/donor are asked to contact Davanh. A caterer has been selected who will also coordinate the traveling bar. The Major Raffle Prize is “winner choice” 999ci HD SI Humminbird Graph Retail value $1500 or MinnKota Talon Power Pole. Whichever one not chosen by major raffle winner, will be auctioned. Dry Creek Outfitters is providing an AR15 Retail value $700. King Fisher is providing a Remington 887 Nitro Shotgun and 22-250 Rifle. The gun proceeds will benefit the State Team. Tammy has completed a poster which will be posted to the www.IdahoBassFed.com and Facebook. Tickets can be purchased from any TIBF member group or from any of the Executive Board Members. Please provide ticket sales count to Tammy by February 17. The TIBF preferred motel is Country Inn & Suites, 3355 E. Pine, Meridian ID (208)639-3300. Be sure to advise them you are attending the TIBF Annual Banquet in order to receive the special pricing.

New Business:
    • Cabin Fever Reliever is scheduled for February 1, 2014 at the Karcher Mall in Nampa. Volunteers to man the fishing booth are being sought. Contact Larry Raganit 208-442-8836 Ext. 801 to volunteer.
    • Howard Davis, Howards Tackle Shoppe, contacted TIBF seeking assistance to obtain the IDF&G permit for the July 13, 2014, Carp Derby Event. Board mutually agreed to apply and purchase the permit.
