The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) January Meeting Minutes The TIBF monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00pm. January 15, 2015, at J/H Marine and Sales, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were: Davanh Sengsourinho/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snake River Bassmasters; James Brandt-Mountain Home Hawg Hunters; Scott Lepka- Mountain Home Hawg Hunters; Bill Kriner-Snake River Bassmasters

Conservation Report-Jason Fuller
    • Steve Day is needing pictures taken at CJ Strike to use in the effort to support the Black Sands dock reconstruction project. He will send to Angie at the Owyhee Sheriff office.
    • ISCAC gun raffle tickets are available for sale from Steve Day.
    • Lake Lowell update-CCP is required to be released by April, 2015. The Refuge is seeking public feedback via interviews which will be conducted at the Refuge.
    • Owyhee County Sheriff office is seeking letters of support for their effort to purchase a new boat.

Communication Report-Steve Day
    • Steve advises that the banquet info is now published on
    • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100. Steve will be sending out his annual invoices for his services.
    • Members can go to TIBF website for all updates and information.
    • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourhino
    • Soldier Appreciation Tournament-The date will be June 20 at CJ Strike reservoir. Organizers need 10 volunteer boats for the 20 military personel that will be attending the tournament.
    • Anglers Choice tournament trail has been discontinued per Bill Hutcheons.
    • Qualifier date planning ongoing. Check the Major Event Calendar on website for dates once they are confirmed.

Old Business:
    • 2015 Sportsman Show: Show date is March 5-8, 2015 at Expo Center, Boise. Davanh will be registering TIBF for show. Volunteer schedule is following: SRB Friday night, Saturday slot is pending, and State Team is scheduled for Sunday. Davanh said he will work on collecting prizes for kids when they hit targets. Brian will order the fishing kits. TIBF will hold seminars at the Show about Youth and High School Fishing.
    • 2015 Annual Banquet planning- Date is February 21, 2015. Location is same as last year at the Meridian Village-Senior Citizen Center, Meridian, Idaho. Steve Day has mailed/hand delivered banquet tickets to club reps and dealerships. Catering company has been identified. Guest Speaker search is ongoing with the assistance of John Burrow-Canyon Marine. Bill Kriner needs the TIBF bank account application to allow credit card charging at the banquet. Some difficulty in finding speaker to the conflicting date with Bassmaster Classic same weekend as Banquet. Raffle, Major Prizes and contributions are being sought. Major raffle prizes are trolling motor and a graph. Steve Day will make a banquet poster.
    • 2015 State Team Shirts-Brad with Dry Creek Outfitters has ordered shirts. Brian Ashton will assist Davanh in obtaining state team shirts in time for the February banquet.

New Business:
    • Mountain Home Hawg Hunters has reinstated in Mountain Home. James Brandt is contact and President for the club. His phone number is (208)599-1709. They can also be found on the web and on Facebook.
