The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) Meeting Minutes Thursday, March 20, 2014, 7:15pm

The TIBF March monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00p.m. March 20, 2014, at J/H Sales and Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were: Davanh Sengsourinho/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snake River Bassmasters; Lionel Garza-Idaho Bassmasters

    Secretary-Treasurer Report-Tammy Shuyler
    • No February minutes due to Annual TIBF Banquet.
    • Treasurer Report
    • 208 Members have renewed 2014 dues.
    • Tammy reported on Banquet proceeds. Net banquet profit for General Fund is $3460. Gross proceeds from raffles and auctions as follows: Major Raffle $565; General Raffle $744; Live Auction $1845; Silent Auction $622. Gun raffle netted $2700 which will be applied to Qualifier Participant travel.
    • Motorbands are now complete. TIBF has 396 for sale. Steve Day will create web page on TIBF website for marketing the bands. Material, printing and sewing totaled $4971.28. We have 3 orders sold for a total of $1399.50.

    Youth Report-Brian Ashton
    • Davahn tabled all discussion for Youth following April President meeting at Nationals April 8-12, 2014.
    • Youth Championship set for August 10, 2014, on Cascade Reservoir.
    • High School Championship is set for June 29, 2014, at CJ Strike Reservoir.

    Conservation Report-Position vacant.
(interested Member sought to fill position) Davanh reported.
    • Steve Day continues to represent TIBF at the monthly ISCAC meetings. There is one more meeting left for the season. Steve will post on TIBF a legislative recap. Go to for position papers and regular updates.
    • A recent carp recovery effort on Lake Lowell resulted in over 500,000lbs. of carp. Otherwise, nothing new to update regarding any Lake Lowell changes.
    • Dave Parrish-IDFG is working on Black Sands south ramp rebuild project and will be seeking letters of support from the bass fisherman.
    • It was reported that the Spring Ramp on Brownlee may not be deep enough due to silt buildup.

    Communication Report-Steve Day
    • See TIBF website for all Qualifier tournament schedules.
    • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100. Steve will be sending out his annual invoices for his services.
    • Members can go to TIBF website for all updates and information.
    • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

    Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourinho
    • TBF Nationals are scheduled for April 8-12, 2014, Grand Lakes, Oklahoma. Chad Kaiser/Boater and Boyd Golightly/Non-Boater will be representing Idaho.
    • TBF NW Divisionals scheduled for Flaming Gorge, WY, May 18-23, 2014.
    • South Qualifier Brownlee ramp change from Woodhead to Farewell Bend.
    • The East and South Qualifiers scheduled for August 23 and 24 will be at Walcott and Milner respectively. A potluck is scheduled for evening of August 23 at the Burley Golf Course. RV camping available in Burley across the river from golf course at the Mini-Cassia Chamber of Commerce RV park.
    • New North contact is Shane Torock.

    Old Business:
    • 2014 TIBF/TBF/FLW Dues-TIBF member clubs are responsible for collection from individual members. Once collected, club secretary-treasurer will sign online at to create an invoice. For questions, please contact Tammy at 208-484-9278 or e-mail
    • The Annual Banquet was another success this year including the fundraising for the general fund, the location and food were excellent and the speaker Jimmy Reese was well received by all who attended.
