Tournament Report-Bruce Flesher

  • The first SW Qualifier has been held.
  • NW Divisional tournament over, Idaho wins. Jason Hickey is boater and Keegan Graves is non-boater going to Nationals for Idaho next year. Mountain Home did a good job with their promises for supporting the anglers and the tournament. One boat was sank during the tournament; no one was hurt. IDFG's Dave Parrish thanks the TIBF for letting IDFG observe/help with fish release during the tournament and the outstanding job of updating the release boat. Bruce and Cindy did a wonderful job of organizing and running the tournament; another big thanks to all of the volunteers that can out to help with the tournament.
  • Most of the State Team does not want to help run the Jack & Jill tournament. Any that do help get 1/12 of the money set aside for the State Team, remainder of the money goes to the TIBF General Fund.

Old Business

  • Board Members jerseys: decided:
    • All jerseys should be similar.
    • The custom printed jerseys would cost around $100 each and are too spendy for most people.
    • Board members must pay for their own jersey or get their club to pay.
    • Suggestion to approach Brad Perkins about getting a deal on jerseys.
  • 2013 TIBF Officers-Bruce is encouraging Idaho members to think about future officer elections. Interested individuals should plan to attend a couple of the board meetings to get a feel for what transpires during the meetings.
  • Steve Day presented sponsor plaque for review and approval. Motion made and approval vote to finalize plaques for delivery to respective recipients. Steve needs the wording for the certificates to go on the plaques and names/addresses to send the plaques to.

New Business

  • A motion was made and passed to donate $100 to SIDS in memory of John Vehlow's granddaughter.
  • Kid's First Cast:

         Setup as non-profit corp.

Federation Nation donated $1000 to the program.

Motion made and passed for TIBF to donate $250 to the program; possibly do a first out raffle at Jack & Jill tournament to fund or increase this donation.

Program is doing a Treasure Valley Carp Catch event June 15 and 16 to raise awareness and raise money for the program.

Meeting adjourned 8:50 p.m.
