The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) meeting Minutes Thursday, October 17,2013, 7:00pm.

 

             The TIBF October monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00 p.m. at JH Sales & Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were:  Davanh Sengsourhino/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snaker River Bassmasters; Bill Kriner-Snake River Bassmasters; Kurt Campbell-Walleye; Teleconference-Chad Kaiser-Panhandler Bass Anglers

 

Secretary-Treasurer Report-Tammy Shuyler

  • September meeting minutes approved.
  • Treasurer Report:JNJ netted approximately $100 after payouts and expenses. Tammy reimbursed Steve Day $295 for website 5 year renewal with Bravenet.
  • There are currently 276 paid TIBF members.
  • Tammy to research TBF status of the Walleye club. It has been past understanding they paid dues direct to TBF, not to TIBF.

Youth Report-Brian Ashton

         TBF is changing Youth angling format to one group for Ages-11-14yo. and awaiting official announcement

         The TIBF Youth Championship rule changes pending.Following suggestions are under consideration:1)Fishing Youth to provide boater and/or observer 2)Deadline to be moved farther from event date.

         National Youth travel expenses will be capped at $800 including both airfare and rental car.

         Loren Torok and Chandler McRay qualified to attend 2014 TBF Nationals in North Carolina.

         Brian talked about the Youth Director meeting at Ranger Cup.He participated in assisting with the tournament, toured the Expo, met other Profisherman.The Age Group change was a hot topic of discussion.He stated that with HS Fishing now in full swing with increased participation, there isnít the need for two Youth age groups.

         HS Fishing-Brian will prepare a presentation for the 2014 TIBF Banquet.

 

Conservation Report-No officer (interested Member sought to fill vacant position) Davanh reported.

  • Tammy Shuyler has offered to fill the position starting 2014.

 

Communication Report-Steve Day

  • Steve reported that the website host with Brave Net has been renewed for $299/5 years.Tammy will reimburse him for cost from general fund as he paid out-of-pocket.
  • ISCAC-Steve will continue to monitor activity and attend the meetings.†† Steve announced that license increases are on the table for discussion this year and that the White Closed under consideration for proposed National Monument.
  • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create andmaintain club websites. Annual cost $100.  
  • Members can go to TIBF website http://www.idahobassfed.com for all updates and information.
  • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourhino

  • There were 14 teams who fished the JNJ Tournament at Brownlee.
  • He announced the 2014 State Team:Boaters-Tony Shuyler, Josh Polfer, Jason Hickey, Kyle Gelles, Chad Kaiser, Josh Ragan, and Non-boaters-Brandon Craner, Jared Lord, Davanh Sengsourinho, Randy Miller, David Ashton, Ethan Peterson.The 2014 Divisional host location is Flaming Gorge, Wyoming.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Old Business

  • 2013 TIBF/TBF/FLW Dues-TIBF member clubs are responsible for collection from individual members. Once collected, club secretary-treasurer will sign online at www.tbfwebservices.com/app.php to create an invoice.Due to Tammy departing the Secretary-Treasurer position, please mail dues TBF/TIBF dues paymentsas following.Idaho TBF Dues-mail to Tammy Shuyler, 3875 N Hartley Road, Eagle, ID 83616.National dues be mailed to:TBF, 5998 N.   • Motor Bands-Tammy and Steve Day continue to work on project.The motor bands will be sold for $20/ea. For quantities up to 25.For orders 26-49, $19/ea. And 50+ $18/ea.If this project is economically viable as a profit source for TIBF, it will become a permanent project.Steve Day has ordered the material which should arrive by November, 2013.Once received, a seamstress will cut and sew the bands.Screen printing has also been arranged when ready for printing. We currently have orders for up to 290 motorbands.
  • 2014 Banquet planning.Location has been identified in Boise/Meridian located at the intersection of Fairview/Eagle Road at 1920 Records Way, Meridian, ID 83646.It has 3 flatscreen TVís with laptop, microphone and excellent kitchen amenities including ice machine. Capacity is 205 with available tables set up for 175.The Center at the Park (the new Meridian Senior Center in Kleinert Park) has been reserved for banquet date of February 22, 2014.Sponsors are currently being researched and any members wishing to participate as sponsor/donor are asked to contact Davanh.A local motel will be identified and rate negotiated for attendees.There are several in the area and one will be sought that has a shuttle available.Two Catering bids are under consideration and decision will be made at November meeting. Meat choices under consideration are Tri-tip or Beef Tenderloin.Steve Day will order the banquet tickets.Ticket prices will be $35 per person.Davanh announced that TIBF is receiving a 999csi Side Imaging (Not HD) Retail value $1500 and Talon Power Pole as major raffle/auction items.He will contact King Fisher regarding guns for fundraising.
  • Solar bat glasses-Brian has returned remaining glasses to TBF. They will revise the invoice and resend to Brian who will forward to Tammy for payment.He estimates about $850 balance.
  • The Major Event Bass Tournament scheduling meeting is set for November 14, 2013, 7pm. at Cabelas in Boise.

New Business

  • Officer Nominations-President-Davanh, Vice-President-Scyler Hill, Secretary-Treasurer-Open and need nominations. All nominations must be brought to the November meeting.
