The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) Meeting Minutes Thursday, October 16, 2014, 7:10pm.

The TIBF monthly meeting was brought to order 7:10p.m. October 16, 2014, at J&H Sales and Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were: Davanh Sengsourinho/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snake River Bassmasters; Teleconference-Brian Ashton/Youth Director-Idaho Bassmasters

Secretary-Treasurer Report-Tammy Shuyler
    • Minutes.
    • Treasurer Report
    • 300 Members as of meeting date.
    • Paid $60 for Youth Jersey Chandler McRay.

Youth Report-Brian Ashton
    • Youth Championship date pending.
    • Brian continues to work with State of Idaho for grant $ at Cascade Res. For the State Championship.
    • High School Fishing update: Kyler Fugate and Loren Torok placed 3rd at Clear Lake.
    • College Fishing update: Austin Turpin and Tanner Mort placed 1st at FLW College Fishing Western Conference Invitational.

Conservation Report-Position vacant. (interested Member sought to fill position) Davanh reported.
    • The CJ Strike Black Sands launch ramp will be undergoing renovation in cooperation with IDF&G and Owyhee County.
    • It was noted that Lake Lowell already drained and too late to retrieve any of the fish for a project.

Communication Report-Steve Day
    • The Black Sands launch ramp project information has been uploaded onto the TIBF website. All members and clubs are encouraged to send letters of support for the project.
    • 2014 Snow Bowl Application is online for downloading from the TIBF website.
    • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100. Steve will be sending out his annual invoices for his services.
    • Members can go toTIBF website for all updates and information.
    • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourinho
    • Davanh will provide Steve final qualifier results for publication. The State Team will consist of 1 member from East, 3 members from North and 8 members from South.
    • 2015 Qualifier schedule: East/South qualifiers will be combined with April 11-12 at Brownlee or CJ Strike and Aug. 22-23 Milner and Walcott.

Old Business:
    • Major event/tournament scheduling meeting is set for Thursday, November 13, in the Cabelas Meeting Room, Boise store. Meeting time is 7:00pm.
    • 2015 Sportsman Show: Show date is March 5-8, 2015 at Expo Center, Boise. Davanh will be registering TIBF for show. Volunteer schedule is following: SRB Friday night, Saturday slot is pending, and State Team is scheduled for Sunday. Davanh said he will work on collecting prizes for kids when they hit targets. Brian will order the fishing kits.
    • 2015 Annual Banquet planning ongoing. Date being reserved at the Meridian Village-Senior Citizen Center is February 21. Members are contacting member catering companies to determine if interested. Tammy to call Gary with Moons Catering to see if they are interested again this year. Steve Day will print banquet tickets using the program purchased last year. Guest Speaker search is ongoing.

New Business:
    • TIBF 2015 Officer nominations need to be submitted at the November 13 TIBF meeting. Positions open are President, Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer. Conservation, Youth Director and Tournament Director are appointment positions. Davanh advises he will run for President again. Tammy is stepping down from the Secretary-Treasurer position. Officers will be elected at December meeting and will take over January 1, 2015.
    • The Magic Valley Bassmasters will hold their year-end Banquet December 7, 2014, at the Blue Lake Country Club in Twin Falls.
