  • High School Fishing-Bruce announced a plan to contact each Idaho School District to encourage student participation in HS fishing events. It has been determined one reason for lack of participation is that SD believed they would need to fund the event which is not the case.  Contacts with SD should dispel that assumption and fully explain how youth may participate without cost to the State. A concerted effort will be made to jointly contact SD Supers perhaps at a joint meeting.

  • Idaho Sportsman Show-Deadline to enter is November. A decision needs to be made by TIBF to participate in show. Discussion ensued regarding adequate member volunteers to man the booth and concern there is not sufficient bodies to do so.  It was suggested that booth event be planned to minimize need for multiple volunteers and less labor intensive.

Conservation Report-Steve Jones Absent.  Bruce reported in his stead.

  • Bruce recently met with ISCAC.  All affiliated groups have jointly decided to develop a position statement for ISCAC.
  • Now available are “Let US Recreate Lake Lowellstickers.  Several clubs have them available to sell to members.  Additional locations for sticker purchase are Howards Tackle Shoppe, Idaho Water Sports and Western Marine.  A portion of sticker sales proceeds will go to future legal defense fund as need arises.

  • President expense-Voted and approved $240 annual budget for administrative expenses incurred by President and Board.
  • Compensation for Idaho State team alternate-President and Conservation Officer are automatically listed as alternates. An alternate fund should be established.  One suggestion has been to increase the qualifier fee.  Bruce will discuss with qualifier participants seeking their input.  Item tabled pending further input and discussion.
  • TIBF By-law changes-Tabled for majority vote due to inadequate numbers of attendees at September meeting. Bruce will email all club representatives for Yes/No vote.  Non-response to his email will be noted as a Yes vote.   A 2/3 majority vote is required to vote in the by-law changes.

New Business

  • 2012 Combined Qualifier Events-IBFN has approached TIBF to discuss consolidating the Qualifier events beginning 2012.
