The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) meeting Minutes Thursday,September 21,2013, 7:00pm.

 

             The TIBF September monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00 p.m. at JH Sales & Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were:  Davanh Sengsourhino/President-Idaho Bassmasters; Tammy Shuyler-Secretary/Treasurer-Idaho Bassmasters; Scyler Hill/Vice President-Magic Valley Bassmasters; Steve Day/Communications-Snaker River Bassmasters; Bill Kriner-Snake River Bassmasters; Steve Spear-Idaho Bassmasters

 

Secretary-Treasurer Report-Tammy Shuyler

  • August meeting minutes approved.
  • Treasurer Report.

Youth Report-Brian Ashton

  • No report as Brian absent.He will provide complete youth report October meeting.

Conservation Report-No officer (interested Member sought to fill vacant position) Davanh reported.

  • Scyler advises that the release boat has been winterized and will be stored for winter in Magic Valley.

Communication Report-Steve Day

  • Steve reported that the website host with Brave Net has been renewed for $299/5 years.Tammy will reimburse him for cost from general fund as he paid out-of-pocket.
  • North Division qualifier results are posted.
  • JNJ application has been uploaded to website.
  • ISCAC-Steve will continue to monitor activity and attend the meetings.†† Go to ISCAC website for legislative summary.
  • Steve Day is offering to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Annual cost $100.  
  • Members can go to TIBF website http://www.idahobassfed.com for all updates and information.
  • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Davanh Sengsourhino

  • North final qualifers are September 21 and 22.
  • South final qualifier is September 28.
  • East qualifiers are complete.
  • The 2014 State Team will be determined by end of September, 2013.
  • Scales of Justice event is September 22 at CJ Strike.
  • Jack N Jill is scheduled for September 29, 2013, at Brownlee-Woodhead. There will be a BBQ Saturday, September 28, at the campground for Jack N Jill participants.Davanh is cooking and everyone can bring potluck dishes for BBQ.

Old Business

  • 2013 TIBF/TBF/FLW Dues-TIBF member clubs are responsible for collection from individual members.   • Motor Bands-Tammy and Steve Day continue to work on project.The motor bands will be sold for $20/ea. For quantities up to 25.For orders 26-49, $19/ea. And 50+ $18/ea.If this project is economically viable as a profit source for TIBF, it will become a permanent project.Steve Day has ordered the material which should arrive by November, 2013.Once received, a seamstress will cut and sew the bands.Screen printing has also been arranged when ready for printing. We currently have orders for up to 290 motorbands.
  • 2014 Banquet planning.Location has been identified in Boise/Meridian located at the intersection of Fairview/Eagle Road at 1920 Records Way, Meridian, ID 83646.It has 3 flatscreen TVís with laptop, microphone and excellent kitchen amenities including ice machine. Capacity is 205 with available tables set up for 175.The Center at the Park (the new Meridian Senior Center in Kleinert Park) has been reserved for banquet date of February 22, 2014.Sponsors are currently being researched and any members wishing to participate as sponsor/donor are asked to contact Davanh.A local motel will be identified and rate negotiated for attendees.There are several in the area and one will be sought that has a shuttle available.Caterers and bar will also be researched and recommendations presented to the Board for final selection at the October meeting.Bill Kriner has contacted TMC and they will be researching the facility before providing final quote.
  • Solar bat glasses disposition tabled pending Brianís return.

New Business

  • Tammy recommended that Youth championship rules be clarified noting that airfare and car rental only expenses considered for reimbursement.TBF pays for motel rooms.
  • Davanh advised that the 30 day rule requirement for qualifier competitors will be reviewed prior to 2014.The rule states competitor must be TBF members no less than 30 days of qualifier date.There is discussion that late entry will be allowed with a late fee and no one can enter any closer than 7 days of qualifier date. Topic tabled without further discussion.
  • Davanh reminded us that the Major Scheduling meeting is set for November 7.He will contact Cabelaís and ask to use their conference room again.
